Ina-Garten
Ina Garten has been a popular American writer of cook books over the decades. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina began her career working at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy documents. She initially adored the intellectual stimulation that came with her work, but she quickly began to lose interest. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. It was a huge success for 18 years, until she made the decision to close it. Then she began writing the first book. Numerous other cookbooks and magazine columns followed. The Food Network TV show also was launched, and was a huge success. Ina sells a variety of items, from the ingredients needed for cooking, to kitchenware and storage. Ina herself, a self-taught chef and has not attended the culinary institute or at the hotel. She is well-known for her effortless approach to entertainment and simple food preparation.
