Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian artist and singer. She has released more than 20 albums. Her songs are classified by the label as folk and alternative rock. But, they have influences from hip hop as well as jazz and punk. Ani DiFranco is frequently regarded as the feminist's icon and Grammy-winning performer, is regarded as to be the first pioneer of DIY music. She was one of the first artists to establish the label she created in the year 90. DiFranco was a born on the 23rd of September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as Dante Americo DiFranco. Her mother was born in Montreal and her father is of Italian origins. Ani DiFranco wrote and sang 32 Flavors. The song debuted in 1995 on the sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. It was also featured on the soundtrack of the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized in 2013, after it was revealed that she had planned a three-day seminar in a Louisiana plantation. The course was later cancelled however, she did not express any regret. DiFranco released an apology a couple of weeks following. The singer is well-known for her Little Folksinger music, but she's worked with many artists and genres from Pete Seeger to Chuck D. The place she lives is New Orleans. Ani DiFranco lives with Kristen Ford. She was 14 when she began writing her own songs. She continued to perform them at coffee houses and bars in her teens. DiFranco began attending Buffalo State College when she was sixteen years old. She earned her degree from in the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts at that age. Her new baritone guitar was an original guitar that Alvarez created following several meetings between her myself as well as Chrys Johnson who was an artist rep for Alvarez in the early days. It comes with the System 600 amp and is entirely made of solid woods, including the body with a mahogany top and cedar sides with an ebony-fretboard. Her home is in New Orleans. There she lives with husband, children and her long-legged pet Lefty. DiFranco admits she's ambivalent about the idea that she could look back at her career in retrospect, even though it's been three decades. Singer-songwriter and punk/folk musician Ani DiFranco achieved musical hero recognition at age 25 among both fans and critics after her seventh studio album Not A Pretty Girl in 1995. She then had even more acclaim and success through Dilate the following year. The 1972 pop-rock song Brandy (You're a beautiful girl) was composed by American group Looking Glass for their debut album Looking Glass.
